If you ever see "player ships" farming npc's fighting other players or even other "player ships" with Clan Tag "BOT" it's a mechanic that's called "Bandits", it's objective is to make map feel less empty, help new players, and add more dynamic PvP/E, Bandits have multiple level of difficulty and roles, Attacker Farmer Tank Support etc, And based on their ship they will use ability and play differently in PvP or PvE, you can invite them in group they will help you in your quests and progression ( This is controlled by the server and not in any means a player BOT )
